Synopsis
Maryam is a restless girl who imagines she will soon die.
But a fortune teller predicts that an engineer will come
with a bouquet of roses to ask for Maryam's hand.
On the other hand, a wandering gypsy foresees that a
traveler in a white robe will arrive from a distant land
to take away Maryam, and heal her. Finally, a
wedding ceremony is arranged, but this is not the end of
the predictions.

Director's Veiw
"My favorite cinema is that which the audience like.
A group of professionals behind and before the camera do the
best job they can perform. The film director's
principal job is to coordinate this huge outburst of
creative energy with the ultimate purpose of fashioning
professional cinema that can sustain the structure of our
film industry. I hope I have been able to perform a
small part of that great job. We have all tried to
make The Psychic as a kind of bridge between the elite and
the common audience. That connecting bridge has been
based on the film's inner and emotional strength, upon
characterization performance, creation of suitable
atmosphere, sound effect, the script, etc." |
