The Cry
Faryad
While trying to get away
from a war-stricken zone, Fateme, a pregnant woman near her
time, meets a truck driver named Sohrab. Sohrab who tends to
deliver a cargo to Tehran feels that he has to materialize the
ideas that he had always cherished.
Director's View
"The Cry is unlike
my other films. Our generation knows the war and the South
through media reportage. But if a traveller is to come from the
South to Tehran, media reportage wouldn't suffice, because the
story would be a different one. That's why The Cry is not
like any of my other films, although my other films weren't
based on media reportage either."
