Summary:
Everybody
believes Yousef has been martyred, except his father, Ghafoor, who
believes his son will return one day. Ghafoor is an airport
taxi-driver. One day he meets a young woman named Shirin who
tells him she has come back to Iran in search of her brother, also
missing in action. Ghafoor gives her hope and says her brother must
be among the prisoners of war scheduled to be freed, and that he
will soon return. But when the two travel to the border where the
prisoners of war are due to arrive, it is only Yousef who returns
safely. |
